I established jordannerissa︱thoughtful design studio in 2008 after spending 8 years as a Graphic Designer in the corporate world. I apply that experience to my studio, understanding the every day needs and challenges a business faces in marketing, design and beyond. People are behind every business and the goal of my work is to create an emotional connection between employees and the clients they help.
I live in the Greater Rochester, NY area with my husband, Rob, daughter, and our two Maltipoo sibling pups, Apollo and Fira (who even have their own Instagram account @apollo_and_fira). I consider design a lifestyle and find inspiration all around. When I’m not in front of the computer I enjoys spending time with my family, traveling, musicals, baking, a good glass of wine and reading.
My talent and passion for Graphic Design was discovered while attending Honeoye Falls-Lima High School. I furthered my education at the State University of New York at Fredonia were I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2008. I am grateful to make an impact on my local community by volunteering my design skills to numerous charitable organizations.
Fun Fact︱I was named after Jordan Baker from “The Great Gatsby.”
My middle name, Nerissa, is a reflection of my Greek heritage, meaning “from the sea.”
