Meet Mrs. Jordan Testa
This week we are lucky enough to introduce you to our amazing Silk Bride, Jordan! Jordan and her husband, Rob, were married this past May. The bride wore a stunning Madison James gown, and the newly weds were photographed by Erich Camping Photography. Jordan was kind enough to reflect on her experiences while wedding planning and share them with us!
Jordan and Rob went to the same high school, but never actually dated. They hit it off at Rob’s birthday party 10 years later, and have been inseparable ever since. Jordan even said that they found an old old class picture from first grade and they realized they were in the same class! “Apparently it was love at first grade”.
Jordan knew that Rob was the man she wanted to marry she realized that Rob had so many of the qualities she had been searching for in a partner. She knew on their first date, ice skating, that he was someone she could spend the rest of her life with.
In terms of wedding planning, Jordan was most excited to find her dress. “That was the moment it became real!”. Jordan admits that she tried on about 50 dresses before finding her own. She said she struggled finding something that checked every box of her requirements: beading, straps and partially form-fitted. Jordan knew immediately when she tried on her Madison James gown that it was meant to be hers! She added custom beaded straps to make the gown everything she had hoped for.
Jordan advises brides searching for their own dress to be open to trying on styles they may not initially think they would like. “Even if you don’t have that crying moment you see on TV, as long as you feel amazing in your dress, and want your fiancé to see you in it, you have found the right one!’.
Reflecting back on her wedding day, Jordan says she has three favorite moments. The first being her ceremony, and being able to share such an amazing moment with all her friends and family. The second being in the limo, popping champagne, singing and dancing with the bridal party. Her third favorite moment was after dinner, taking photos on the Strathallan rooftop, and the sun broke through the clouds to reveal sun rays and beautiful pink clouds.
